Hi! My name is Sayo Olujide and I currently go to the University of Maryland - College Park as Computer Science major. I spent most of my life in montgomery county, however for middle school I studied abroad in Nigeria for 3 years and came back to the US to finish my highschool career. I'm the youngest of 4 children and I love creating things as a hobby whether its photos, videos, software or etc. Something I hope to takeway in my journey through my university experience is meeting like minded people who have similar aspirations as me. This is why I feel that the media scholars program is perfect for me, there are so many different people I have met with similar interest concerning media. Along with that, it's also amazing seeings the cool field trips organized for the media scholars. Unfortunately I haven't been able to make it to the recent DC trip, but I will defintely be looking forward to the next one! Another thing is that I also hope to gain a greater sense of independence and responsibility as I navigate this new chapter in my life. Overall, I’m excited about what the media scholars program and the University of Maryland has in store for me.
